Stephanie DeGooyer, Associate Professor and Frank Borden and Barbara Lasater Hanes Fellow of English and Comparative Literature and Curriculum on Global Studies at UNC-Chapel Hill, gave a talk on her recent book, Before Borders: A Legal and Literary History of Naturalization, on November 14. Her visit was supported by the Colloquium in Eighteenth and Nineteenth Century British Literature and the Postcolonial Collective, two Willson Center Research Seminars, and by the English Department’s Rodney Baine Lecture Fund.

Research Seminars

Willson Center Research Seminars support faculty organizing year-long interdisciplinary discussion groups on particular research topics. Seminars bring scholars from other institutions to the UGA campus.
